Shopping & Dining
Passionate shoppers will be forever delighted with all the wonderful specialty shops, boutiques and art galleries in the historic downtown area. There are so many exquisite items to choose from such as jewelry, artwork, antiques, crafts and chocolates. So take in the sights and have a good time while you browse in and out of the shops for those special gifts. Just remember when it's time for a break you can pick up a corndog or a funnel cake on the street or stop in at one of the local pubs, cafes, delis and the chef owned restaurants. They serve everything from fabulous breakfasts, to lunch or high tea in the afternoon and unbelievable gourmet dinners. The choices are endless from burgers to Italian pasta dishes, calzones and pizza, coconut beer shrimp, southern barbeque of ribs or pork shoulder, succulent prime rib dinners that are cooked to perfection or perhaps a Czech dish that includes meat or fish with a side of dumplings ("knedilky") or fried cheese (“smazhenee seer"). For desert you may want to try a mouth watering chocolate soufflé or a yummy slice of pumpkin pecan bundt cake that will bring you back for seconds.
