Attractions

While you are visiting this great city be sure and experience all Muskogee has to offer. The Honor Heights Park attracts thousands of visitors each April to see the annual Azalea Festival.

In the winter visit the Garden of Lights which illuminates the park into a winter wonderland. You can also experience the rich heritage by stopping by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum, or shop til-you-drop at our fine malls and antique dealerships.

The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame calls Muskogee home with induction ceremonies and concerts held each year at the Civic Center. Muskogee is where the Arkansas, Grand and Verdigris rivers meet. Also, don’t forget to visit River Country one of the newest water parks in the state that kids of all ages will enjoy.

A must to visit, The Castle, a 30,000 square foot Castle is a family-oriented site, both inside and out for a variety of annual activities. The Haunted Castle, an incredible 60 acre Halloween theme park runs on weekends in October. Come and join King Henry VIII and a wide assortment of entertainers for a succulent Boares Head Feast in November.

The U.S.S. Batfish War Memorial Park Museum is one of Muskogee’s unique attractions. An actual World War II submarine, the Batfish sank three enemy submarines and eleven other enemy vessels during her tenure in battle. Visitors can tour the inside of the submarine including the torpedo room and crew cabins. In the park area you will find an army tank, cannons, and missiles for view. There is also a Walk of Honor that is a tribute to all veterans.
