Palm Desert has a peaceful and restful quality. It is home to The Living Desert and Shadow Mountain Resort. There is plenty to do there with golf, museums and more shopping but the pace is slower and there are more family activities.
Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells and La Quinta are known worldwide as a golfing paradise with more than 100 courses, with championship as well as par threes that challenge golfers of all abilities. Home to the Bob Hope Desert Classic and the Dinah Shore Nabisco Women's Championship, to name a few, bring scores of visitors and celebrities to the desert. It is also home to most of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the desert.
Indio is the last town before Hwy 111 reaches Hwy 10 again. It is the largest of the eight cities that comprise the Palm Springs Desert Resorts area. It is known as the City of Festivals and hosts something for everyone throughout the year. |
