Enter the tranquil world of the Running Horse Inn, a Montana bed and breakfast offering the ultimate in privacy and comfort while enjoying nature's beauty in Western Montana. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, private baths, and many special touches tell you that you are a welcome and special guest.
Nurture the spirit in a place for reflection and relaxation with front and back decks with comfortable seating and spectacular views of the pristine Montana skies, warm and inviting fireplace in the Great Room with comfortable furnishings, bookcases filled to meet a variety of interests, and 100 wooded acres to explore.
Nurture the body with fresh, seasonal, local, and abundant, describe our delectable breakfasts. Sleep in and enjoy breakfast served until the civilized hour of 10:00 a.m. Count on a delicious breakfast and start your day with a cup of fresh ground coffee served every morning in the sunroom, deck or spacious great room with a tempting variety of freshly baked breads to compliment the generous breakfast for the hearty appetite or a special offering for the lighter appetite (special diets will be accommodated with advance notice).
Ignite or rekindle romance in one of our spacious and well-appointed guest rooms. Each room has a private bath with a choice of steam shower, whirlpool bath and shower, or soaking tub and shower - all in a smoke-free environment. The Running Horse Inn has an abundance of year-round activities for your enjoyment.
Hiker and Mountain Biker Paradise: Explore old logging roads and forest service access roads and trails. Travel the Hiawatha Bike Trail in Wallace, Idaho, 90 minutes from the Inn.
Fisherman's Secret: Private fishing access to the Ninemile Creek running through the property. Close proximity to the Clark Fork River and numerous other Montana fishing opportunities.
Rafting Opportunities: Experience the ride through the Alberton Gorge (a few miles down the road). Float the Clark Fork and other near-by streams and rivers
Bird Watching: Opportunities galore for birding on the Inn's private 100 acres as well as in the near-by Lolo National Forest. Pay a visit to Five Valleys Audubon Society to see local birding information.
Nature Walks & Wildlife Observation: Follow deer trails from the back porch to the peaceful Ninemile Creek and on into the Lolo National Forest (Don't forget your camera!)
