![]() You will experience the Victorian style and American comfort and hospitality of this truly unique Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Ludington, Michigan. On the shores of Lake Michigan, Ludington is one of the most discoverable and relaxing vacation destinations in the Midwest. Massive oak pocket doors with intricate brass hardware glide silently to separate the dining room, living room and parlor from the rest of the house. Throughout the house there are numerous original paintings and limited edition lithographs by contemporary European and American artists. Antique furnishings, crystal chandeliers and other objects d'art collected during our travels throughout Europe and America were carefully selected and placed to harmoniously create an ambiance of elegance, which is the hallmark of The Lamplighter. A recent comment by a travel writer from Midwest Living sums it up this way: " ...old time elegance reigns in this turn-of-the-century Ludington home." All rooms have modern private baths with spacious showers and are individually decorated with antique and contemporary furnishings. Queen size beds in cherry, oak, antique iron or brass frames provide for restful nights. Rooms are air-conditioned and include a cable-fed color TV. Each room has private telephone connections suitable for e-mail retrieval.
