Ypsilanti, Michigan bed and breakfast: Parish House Inn
This Queen Anne style house began its life as a parsonage in 1893 and was moved to the current location in 1987. When you step inside our Michigan B&B you are greeted by gleaming hardwood floors, graceful tulip light fixtures and ceiling fans. The 8 guestrooms are off the narrow hallway, which allows for maximum privacy and comfort.

In the kitchen and dining room area you will find beverages, glassware, a "bottomless" cookie jar and popcorn always available.

The hearty breakfast consists of seasonal fresh fruit, juices, the signature dish of Michigan Baked Oatmeal, plus pancakes, waffles, French toast or an egg dish, freshly baked breads and locally roasted, freshly ground coffee and tea. This hearty meal is served every morning in the breakfast room where discussion of the days plans and activities are shared. Innkeeper, Chris Mason has published a cookbook, 10th Anniversary: Best of Breakfast Menus & Recipes.

In the warmer months, step into the private patio area and relax in a comfortable chair to read or chat with friends. Follow the stepping stones to the clematis covered sitting area to watch the ducks floating by on the Huron River below, or follow the path to the river-walk garden filled with Hostas, roses and daylilies. The location of the Parish House Inn in Historic Ypsilanti, allows guests to walk to area museums, restaurants and shops. It is a convenient stop just off I-94 and US 23 for travelers with Michigan vacation plans or for a business stay.
