Folkestone Inn

Bryson City, North Carolina.

An old-fashioned bed & breakfast at the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park just two miles north of Bryson City, a sleepy mountain town.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Bryson City, North Carolina bed and breakfast: Folkestone Inn

Originally a 1920s mountain farmhouse, the Folkestone offers ten air conditioned guestrooms, all with private baths with clawfoot tubs and showers.

Upstairs, the inn offers private balconies with vistas of the Great Smoky Mountains, while the downstairs rooms offer an olde world charm, with flagstone floors and pressed-tin ceilings. Breakfast specialties include eggs benedict and banana-walnut French toast.

The Inn is conveniently located in the middle of everything and makes a great base camp for exploring the surrounding area. We are 1/4 mile from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park; 2 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains Railway; 10 miles from the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Oconaluftee Indian Village.

12 miles from Tsali Mountain Bike Trails and Harrah's Cherokee Casino; 13 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway; 15 miles from Nantahala White Water; 35 miles from Fontana Dam and Clingman's Dome; 45 miles from Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and Gatlinburg; 65 miles from Biltmore House & Gardens and Cades Cove.

The Folkestone Inn offers an option 6-course dinner on Saturday nights.
