Why Captain Henderson House? Because we love pampering you. Because you can savor the peace and quiet of this fine, historic home. Because you will wake up to a hot, delicious breakfast.

We are located on scenic Arkansas Highway 7, a convenient stop on your journey. Each of the guestrooms is elegantly decorated, has a king or queen bed, a private bath, three of which have Jacuzzis, and is equipped with a phone, a television/VCR, and a wireless Internet access.

The bed & breakfast provides the ultimate in romantic settings for any wedding day. From the wooden staircase to the lush green lawn, the home and grounds provide the perfect location for your dream wedding.

Captain Henderson House is also an ideal venue to host a conference or meeting. Conference rooms are available, as well as on-site catering.

Business, members of AARP, and AAA receive a 10% discount on any available room. State government employees receive a rate of $65.00 per night.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Visit the campus of Henderson State University and all the wonderful surroundings. Lake DeGray provides the perfect setting for fishing, golfing, hiking, biking, and water sports for the entire family. In addition, the Caddo River is a great place to canoe and kayak.

Arkadelphia's Aquatic Park is great for staying cool in the hot summer days.

Beautiful Hot Springs, AR, is only 30 miles from Arkadelphia. Hot Springs is home to three lakes--Lake Hamilton, Lake Katherine, & Lake Ouachita. There are many spas available there, or you can venture downtown to Historic Bath House Row. Magic Springs is the perfect place to take the kids, housing an amusement park as well as a water park. You can also catch a concert every Saturday night during the summer. Hot Springs is full of fun things to do with the family, as well as great dining establishments.

The Balcony Room (3): French doors open to the balcony, where a soft breeze can carry you 100 years away. The private bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub with shower, and as with every room, there are plush full-cotton robes and complimentary toiletries.

The Anthony Timberlands (1): The room itself is open and airy, with clean lines and crisp white sheets. The queen size bed offers a great night's sleep. Separate parlor/sitting room with kitchenette. ADA accessible Jacuzzi with shower.
