![]() Dreemskerry was built in 1932 as a wedding gift for the daughter of a local lumber baron. Located at the corner of Rockland Avenue and St. Charles, the home was christened "Dreemskerry", Manx Gaelic for "by the sea," by Maureen and Bryan Stoodley, the current owners and reflects their Manx heritage and origins in the Isle of Man. Architecturally, the house is officially described in Canada's archives as an authentic Georgian Cape Cod Mansion House. The superb quality of the first cut timber, coved ceilings and fabulous finishing materials shines throughout the home -- a gracious tribute to the charms and elegance of the era.
