A hearty breakfast is served each morning. The Haddie Pierce House has been host to intimate weddings, bridal showers, teas, and special celebrations. We can accommodate up to 35 guests. In 1906, Haddie and Christopher Pierce built their American Foursquare clapboard home, complete with widow's walk, on a busy street corner in the village of Wickford. The town had been enjoying a newfound reputation as a summer resort thanks to the Seaview Railroad and steamships that sailed into Wickford Harbor. Area Attractions and Activities: A visit to Wickford Village is a rare treat. Streets of colonial homes are clustered around the scenic harbor. Shoppers enjoy the 40 shops and boutiques, and strollers can watch the fisherman returning from a day on Narragansett Bay. Walk out the door and trip down to our sandy beach. Swim in the bay or enjoy a picnic under the trees. Rent a kayak and experience out beautiful bay. Or take the short drive to Narragansett or Scarborough State Beach. Visit Smith's Castle, the oldest plantation house in America. Or tour the Gilbert Stuart House or the Old Narragansett Church. Enjoy Newport and the mansions. Dine at the many restaurants or fly a kite at Breton Point.Providence is a 30 minute drive.
