Bed and Breakfast Description

Lee, Massachusetts bed and breakfast: Jonathan Foote 1778 House

Old stonewalls crisscross the property. Ancient maples shade our historic farmhouse in the summer, and provide a private color show in the fall.

We are known for our delicious, full, homemade breakfasts served in our candlelit Front Parlor, or weather permitting, on our large covered porch. Start your day with fresh seasonal fruit, a homemade hot entree such as Dill Havarti Eggs, quiche or pancakes with Berkshire County Maple Syrup. Finish your leisurely breakfast with a slice of just baked sour cream coffee cake, crumb cake or other homebaked delicacy. In the afternoon, enjoy fresh baked cookies from our crystal cookie jar as you relax in the Great Room, browse our library and enjoy classical music softly playing.

We offer five generously sized guestrooms(two on the first floor) that have private baths, queen or king beds, cozy sitting areas and air conditioning. Two of our guestrooms also have fireplaces, offering a romantic retreat in which to celebrate a special occasion.

The Inn, tastefully furnished throughout with antiques, reproductions and artwork, radiates a charming, comfortable atmosphere. An imposing stone hearth complete with beehive oven welcomes you to the Great Room. Relax by the fire after a day of skiing or exploring the surrounding towns and countryside. Chat with new friends or enjoy a good book in a quiet corner in our Great Room or in warmer months, on our covered porch.
