Hacienda Antigua Inn

Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Walk through the massive carved gates of Hacienda Antigua and step back in time. The gentle courtyard, with its big cottonwood and abundance of flowers, is the heart of this 215 year old adobe hacienda. AAA 3 Diamonds, Mobil 3 Stars.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Albuquerque, New Mexico bed and breakfast: Hacienda Antigua Inn

Hacienda Antigua is built around an extensive courtyard, creating an enchanting, private outdoor space. In summer, the courtyard gardens overflow with flowers, and a huge cottonwood tree provides cooling shade. Relax in the shade of the portal or soak up the bright southwestern sun by the swimming pool and hot tub.

Each of Hacienda Antigua's eight guest rooms has an ambiance all its own, but all share a strong connection to the past.

The Hacienda Suites - the most spacious rooms in the Inn - all have king size beds, comfortable sitting areas, kiva wood burning fireplaces, cable televisions, and large private bathrooms. These rooms also have a single bed, allowing the room to accommodate three.

The Adobe Rooms provide spacious accommodations for one or two people. All of these rooms have queen size beds, kiva wood burning fireplaces, and private bathrooms. The rooms are furnished in period antiques to complement the massive terrone walls and ponderosa pine beams which were harvested from the Sandia Mountains circa 1790.

A full breakfast of specialty dishes, fresh fruits and steaming coffee or tea is presented each morning.

Weary travelers have sought rest and refuge here since 1790 when Don Pablo Yrisarri built this hacienda on the famous El Camino Real, trading post and cantina, wagon train stop and stage coach stop are all chapters in this historic building's past.
