Located in historic Annapolis Royal, the heart of the Evangeline Trail and minutes from one of the oldest European settlements in the New World, Port Royal. Built in 1859 as an Inn the Hillsdale House Inn has catered to many famous persons, including King George V of England. Hillsdale House has a long standing tradition of providing gracious accommodations set in idyllic surroundings.

Our 13 guest rooms are all individually decorated with antiques and all have private ensuite baths. Relax in one of our 3 parlors, all beautifully appointed with mid Victorian period antiques. Hillsdale House Inn is a 12 acre estate with manicured lawns, stately trees and numerous fine gardens. Treat yourself in the morning to freshly ground coffee, and a full cooked breakfast, including Hillsdale's homemade bread and jams.

We are pleased to offer Pet Friendly accommodations and will provide that important member of your family with the same care given to all our guests.

Most Popular Rooms:

Room # 1 A large bright room with antique canopy bed, an oversized step down 4 peice bath with Victorian claw footed tub. Sleep in the same room that King George the V slept in, when he visited the Inn in 1884, during his time as Prince of Wales.

Room #10 our junior suite, decorated with ornate antiques purchased by the orignial owner of the Inn, Susan Ryerson, owner from 1859 to 1897. Enjoy a cup of tea in the bay window, or relax in the Victorian claw footed tub.
