Area Attractions and Activities:
Michigan's west coast - named one of the top 12 places to vacation in North America by Money Magazine. For more than 100 years, tourists have sought refuge from everyday life in the Saugatuck/Douglas area - a peaceful place where no one rushes and no one rushes you.
Saugatuck is the embodiment of small town America. Its a harbor village where visitors feel they've turned back the pages of time and entered a simpler life. The layers of history that surround the area are intriguing, and the picturesque village retains its 19th century character.
Throughout Saugatuck's history, artists have been drawn to its towering dunes, sugar sand beaches and jewel-like setting on the shores of Lake Michigan. Today, that artistic heritage persists through strong ties to the Chicago Institute of Art at Oxbow, and a profusion of private art galleries and craft boutiques. Beaches, Art Galleries, Great Food = Saugatuck!
Most Popular Rooms:
Jacuzzi, fireplace, TV/VCR, private balcony overlooking the gardens, and a delicious breakfast make our 2 romantic suites the inn's most popular.
Winnie's Room: A warm and welcoming room, with fireplace, sitting area and private balcony. Wonderful wide planked original hardwood floor and a real brass bed, make this cozy room a year 'round favorite.
