Built in 1893, Humboldt House has been authentically renovated to reflect the Victorian era, offering guests the utmost in comfort as they celebrate honeymoons, anniversaries, or special retreats...

Large Jacuzzi baths, woodburning fireplaces, and exquisite decor are found in each of the six guest suites. Champagne and homemade chocolate truffles await your arrival.

Goose-down comforters, a CD stereo, fresh flowers and candlelight are among the extra touches provided in every room. Large windows offer a peaceful view of neighbouring St. Ann's Academy and its apple orchard.

A special feature of Humboldt House is the gourmet champagne breakfast - each morning, tucked into a basket, delivered through a two-way pantry into the privacy of your room. The Humboldt House is proud to serve Cafe San Miguel, fairly traded Columbian Coffee.

Enjoy a glass of sherry and homemade sweets in this beautiful common room adorned with lavish furnishings and a charming grandfather clock. Just two blocks to the Empress Hotel and Inner Harbour, and one block from beautiful Beacon Hill Park. A romantic stroll through the park takes you to the ocean and breath-taking mountain views... Hear the "Clip-Clop" of horse-drawn carriages as they pass by on their way to the park, and hear the church bells chime from Victoria's historic Church of Our Lord.

Celebration Room: Furnished w/billows of lace over a white, cast-iron queen bed; crystal chandelier, marble fireplace & stunning decor. An inviting Jacuzzi bath sits elevated next to a corner window. Hand-painted ivy trails & angels on ceiling.

Gazebo Room: Our largest room on the top floor. This is a garden setting, with a canopied queen size bed, vaulted ceiling, double Jacuzzi bath, woodburning fireplace, and beautiful views.
