Historic Sand Rock Farm
Aptos, California.
Historic, country estate featuring world-class Chef, Jacuzzi tubs, arts, antiques, down comforters, private baths, and gracious amenities on 10 wooded acres. Secluded between Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Historic Sand Rock Farm is a gracious Arts-and-Crafts style country estate filled with antiques, art, flowers, and hospitality. Featuring the remarkable cuisine of world-class chef Lynn Sheehan (www.artofthegoodlife.com), Jacuzzi tubs, down comforters, and 10 acres of woodland in the Aptos foothills.
The B&B has five spacious rooms, each with private bathrooms; three rooms have Jacuzzi tubs in the rooms, and two of the suites access a large outdoor hot tub. There are lovely reception areas, including the box-beam ceiling living room and a relaxing sitting porch filled with books and magazines. The farmhouse is surrounded by gardens, woodland, and fountains -- lounge on the rose garden hammock, or dine on the expansive redwood deck beneath our heritage oak.
Executive Chef Lynn Sheehan (Vertigo, Mecca, Rubicon, Postrio) prepares a remarkable breakfast, and by special arrangement caters exceptional meals -- culminate your tour the region's fine wineries with an unforgettable gourmet wine dinner! Sheehan also caters special events, hosts cooking classes, and serves the bounty of Santa Cruz's rich farmland.
Built as one of the first wineries in the region, Sand Rock Farm first opened in 1890. The home has been lovingly restored with vintage lighting, hand printed wallpaper, and period arts and antiques. A perfect home-base for a California coast adventure, minutes from the beach between Santa Cruz and Monterey, Historic Sand Rock Farm is a idyllic retreat.
