Bev and Andy are truly enjoying the intimacy of this smaller bed and breakfast after successfully running a larger established one for 15 years.

The charm of this Inn is the location high on a hill in the Green Mountains, overlooking the serpentine Ottaquechee River and waterfalls to as far as Mt. Smarts, 30 miles away in New Hampshire. It is a remote and pastoral location yet is completely convenient to all the area’s attractions. Apple Hill Inn is a bed and breakfast with a view as spectacular as its impeccable accommodations. Guests can visit with the owners enjoying an exchange of stories and humor, and as former guests have suggested, it is "a place to have privacy and is a romantic and intimate inn” as well.

The bountiful, healthy (natural/organic) gourmet breakfasts are served in buffet style always prepared by Beverlee, the innkeeper/owner, in her magnificent country kitchen, where many guests enjoy having morning coffee or tea and fun conversation. Breakfast fare may consist of coffee breads, vegetable omelets, pear almond pancakes, berry bread puddings, homemade granola assorted cheeses, and fresh fruit compotes hot and cold, Beverlee’s homemade applebutter, fresh biscuits and muffins and more, all presented on china and silver serving dishes. Special diets are always accommodated.

Situated on thirteen acres above the tiny Hamlet of Taftsville you are three miles from both the village of Woodstock and Quechee. You are within walking distance to the Country Store and Post Office, from here, continue for a peaceful time along the Happy Valley Road and Happy Valley Stream to hike, bike, run, snow shoe or relax along its banks. Across the Ottaquechee River via the Historic Taftsville Covered Bridge you can meander along the river.
