At A Storybook Inn, you will find the ultimate in style and service. Upscale in every way, from the thick, top of the line mattresses, high thread count sheets, manicured private gardens, wonderfully appointed, private suites to the
“insanely amazing” breakfasts [as one of our L.A. guests termed them], Storybook Inn is a special respite from the busyness of life that is beyond our guest’s expectations. Not your garden variety B&B, some of our well-traveled guests have remarked that “A Storybook Inn is more like a small luxury European hotel than a Bed and Breakfast.” It is a challenge to balance exquisite elegance and comfortable welcome, but Elise, the Innkeeper, has accomplished just that.

Elise has owned and raised horses and has a love for all things equine. She can arrange private horse farm tours for you or show you self-guided horse farm tour routes with free maps included.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Storybook Inn is minutes from the famed picturesque Keeneland Racecourse, where the sport of kings is still "racing as it was meant to be." Though minutes from historic downtown Lexington, fine dining, vineyards, horse farms and historic sites such as Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Storybook Inn is a quiet respite from the rest of the world.

World class Horse farms are minutes from the Inn. The innkeeper can arrange private tours. Wonderful, one of a kind, fine dining is minutes away. Quaint Midway, a wonderful little town built in the 1800's that is 12 minutes away looks like a movie set.Filled with antique shops, fine art shops, gift shops and outstanding restaurants, it is a must see.

Irish Acres Antiques with the Glitz restaurant is wonderful. The Kentucky Horse Park, Equus Run Vineyard. Woodford Reserve Distillery. Shaker Village is the largest restored working Shaker village in the US, Antiquing, Historic homes, Horseback riding, Professional Massage Therapist by appt.
