Aleksander House is romantic and inviting. The 14 foot walls of the spacious dining room are lined with French Toile paper. Prints of French Impressionists hang there and in the lovely Victorian parlor, filled with Queen Anne furniture.

Breakfasts are sumptuous and include specially blended coffees, an assortment of fine teas, and homemade muffins and jams.

Each guestroom is uniquely decorated in eclectic or period furnishings, with fine linens and comforters.
Area Attractions and Activities:
Viewing the wonderful old Victorian homes and mansions in Old Louisville. An afternoon at Churchill Downs, the delightful JB Speed Art Museum, or the Slugger Museum.

A paddleboat ride on the Ohio, or a Dinner-train ride through scenic areas of Kentucky. A relaxing trip to the Huber Wineries (45 min away) for wine tasting and lunch.

A visit to a Shaker Village or any of the many other small, quaint villages, just an hour away. Antiquing at the many fine antique shops and malls in Louisville.

The Kimberly Suite: Fully carpeted with ecru silk curtains and Damask comforter in one room and rose Moire in the second room. It is very spacious, with a queen bed, double bed, sitting area and working fireplace, as well as many amenities.
