Londonderry Inn

Belfast, Maine.

Come to our beautifully restored country farmhouse on 6 acres, with elegant, comfortable rooms, many sitting areas, a large fire place in the country kitchen & a full breakfast served each morning.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Belfast, Maine bed and breakfast: Londonderry Inn

Londonderry Inn was actually the first bed & breakfast in Belfast. Back in the 1950s or 60s, it was called the "Sanker Farm Overnight Tourist House" and offered "heat and modern bath" as its amenities! It has operated as Londonderry Inn since the early 1980s. Marsha and Fletcher Oakes purchased the inn in 1997 and lovingly restored the entire house and grounds, re-opening in May 1998.

Our 5 comfortable, elegant guest rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques, newer furnishings and interesting artwork, designed to please the eye and comfort the body. All bedrooms have a modern private bath, a sitting area or desk, exquisitely comfortable mattresses, plush feather pillows, terry bathrobes, phone, cable TV/VCR, mini-fridge, CD/clock radio, & A/C.

After checking in, stroll through our manicured woodlands and fields, pick berries in season, or perhaps catch a glimpse of deer, wild turkeys or other wildlife! Relax on our screened farmer's porch, enjoy a book or periodical from our "reading room," or retire to your room with a video from our extensive library of 250+ films.

In the morning, join the innkeepers and other guests for a three course farmer's breakfast in our large fire placed country kitchen, while you watch the activity at our numerous bird feeders. You can't leave the inn for your day's activities hungry, so save your appetite! In the evening, join us for homemade cookies and beverages.
