The Brewster Inn is located in Dexter, Maine which is less than an hour's drive to Bangor and beautiful Moosehead Lake. Escape to the tranquility of the Maine Highlands. The Inn is perfect for special events, parties and weddings. We also offer the Inn as facility space for corporate meetings and group retreats of all kinds.

The Brewster Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a former Maine Governor and Government Senators family home. A portrayal of this family is seen in the Golden Globe award winning movie "The Aviator" starring Leonardo De Caprio (as Howard Hughes) and Alan Alda (as senator Ralph Owen Brewster). We are proud to be part of such fascinating history!

Our home will also be shown on TV across the USA on HGTV in June 2008! We will be featured on a segment of "If Walls Could Talk" (filming took place in Oct.2007). Check back for the exact programme "air" date. We'll post that here as soon as it becomes available

Most Popular Rooms:

The Honeymoon Suite was Owen Brewsters lawyers office. Its a large cedar paneled room with fireplace,seating area and queen bed. The bathroom has a shower and 2 person whirlpool and there is a seperate seating/bedroom off the main room

The Truman room was named after President Truman who stayed in that same room in 1942 as he was a personal friend of Brewster. This cozy room features queen and twin beds. The colourful tiled bathroom is original having a shower and tub
