 A stay at The Madeleine is an experience to remember. The elegant frontier-style Victorian house features all the classic Victorian architectural touches, including ornately carved fireplaces and molding and unique stained glass. The interior is filled with beautiful period antiques. This three story historic treasure is tucked away on a quiet street near the Plaza and Canyon Road. Its peaceful garden is filled with roses, iris, and snapdragons, and provides a cool quiet spot for breakfast or book-reading under the aspens and the 100 year-old apricot tree. On crisp winter days, the inviting dining and sitting rooms, warmed by a crackling fire, provide a perfect setting for a hot breakfast such as French toast or frittatas, pancakes, polenta or cheese grits. Accompany your hot entree with scrumptious homemade muffins and granola, whole grain breads, yogurt, cheeses, and fresh fruit salad. Our staff is dedicated to outrageous personal service. We will happily help you plan the day's activities and select a restaurant to suit your taste. In the afternoon, pick a spot that suits the weather to take your herbal tea, lemonade or locally roasted coffee. You won't be able to resist the temptation of the bottomless plate of cookies, brownies and other decadent sweet treats. The Madeleine is delighted to announce the opening of the Absolute Nirvana Spa & Gardens. Nirvana is Sanskrit, meaning a place or condition of sublime happiness or fulfillment.
