Bed and Breakfast Description

Washington, Virginia bed and breakfast: Middleton Inn

An historic country estate, Middleton Inn has received for the past eight years, the coveted Four Diamond AAA Award for excellence in accommodations and service in an elegant atmosphere.
In 2006, Middleton was selected to be a member of the prestigious Select Registry group of distinguished inns of North America.
Completely restored, the inn is in the historic village of "Little Washington," a short stroll from the famous Inn at Little Washington restaurant, and 65 miles west of Washington, DC.
A Virginia historic landmark, the federal-style manor house sits on a knoll facing the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and overlooks a pond with Canada geese gliding through the waters.
The inn, circa 1840, is complimented by the original buildings: the smokehouse, the summer kitchen and the servants' quarters, which have been restored and made into a romantic guest cottage. In addition, the original log cabin recently has been exquisitely restored offering two bedrooms and fireplaces in every room of the cabin. The original corn crib has been converted into stables and horses poke their heads out of their stalls or graze in the paddocks and scenic meadows.
Every room in the inn, including the kitchen, has a working fireplace. The historic guest cottage has a Jacuzzi for two and views of the mountains.
Enjoy scrumptious breakfasts prepared by the chef. Sip complimentary wine on the porch as you gaze at the mountains or walk to the stables to feed the horses a treat.
