Bed and Breakfast Description

The Pilgrim House has been beautifully restored offering charming accommodations with classic period furnishings. The Inn boasts large rooms with high ceilings and heavy moldings around windows and doors harmonizing happily with the antique beds, dressers and armoires that we've located in many of Rhode Island's antique stores. Each of our 11 rooms has its own personality and appeal matching the Victorian decor of the time.

Immaculate rooms and wonderful atmosphere await you. Fireplace in living room. Meetings of up to 25 people.

Sit and take in Newport beginning at breakfast, when we serve homemade muffins, juice and gourmet coffee, until the sun slips behind Jamestown island - the signal, in Newport, that it is time for the nightlife to begin.

Newport is a vibrant and historic city, and a consistent part of Newport's history is that it has always been an easy place to have fun. We can offer suggestions, from guiding architecture buffs through the city to telling you where to find the best private gardens.

Newport is also central to many points of interest close by; less than a 40 minute drive from Providence and Fall River and a one-hour ferry ride to Block Island. Newport is close to vineyards, galleries, factory outlets and antique cooperatives. Just two minutes away, there are two nationally-recognized wildlife refuges that offer bird watchers self-guided tours.
