Forty wooded acres on the Paluxy River, the perfect setting for Family Reunions, Church Retreats, and Weddings in the breathtaking Chapel in the Woods.

Surrounded by nature, Country Woods has all the expected activities, but it is the unexpected that keep guests returning time and time again: Feeding carrots to the horses, picking wildflowers in the meadow, private campfire circles, bird watching baskets... especially the swimming hole in the river where dinosaurs used to roam! Minutes from Fossil Rim, Dinosaur State Park, and The Promise, this Award Winning inn is a great getaway for 1 person or a group of 50.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Prairie House: Century-old farmhouse renovated into 2 wings, complete with double locked privacy door and 2 front porches overlooking the meadow and wooded hill. Sleeps 6 to 8 total people with both wings.

The Main House: Will sleep 12. Large dining room with harvest table and small country kitchen, living room with fireplace and screen porch with sprawling rock patio.
