Romantic and elegant, the 1873 Architects Inn-George C. Mason House was built as the private residence of Mason, a famous Newport "Gilded Age" architect. Lovingly restored into a B&B Inn located in the heart of Newport. Welcoming guests for twelve years.

Three guestrooms are elegant, spacious accommodations, providing period furnishings, queen size bed, private bath, cable TV/VCR, air conditioning, working fireplace and a comfortable seating area.

Two suites offer either a king or queen bed, sitting room, private bath, fireplace, cable TV/VCR and air conditioning. Some can accommodate up to 8 people.

Full breakfast is served by the fire in winter and on the porch overlooking the garden in summer.

Guests can relax in the parlour or the library, each of which has a fire going seasonally. Afternoon refreshments and evening sherry are served. On-site parking is provided. Non-smoking. Architects Inn is fully sprinklered for your protection.

The Redwood Room features high ceilings with plaster crown moldings,parquet floor w/ cherry trim, Delft tile wood fireplace, couch and lg bath w/ a clawfoot soaking tub & shower. This is our most popular room especially for honeymoons and anniversaries.

The Perry Suite is our largest room boosting a large bedroom w/ rice carved 4 poster bed, gas fireplace, sitting room, bath w/ clawfoot soaking tub and separate 2-person custom shower. Great for family with teenage children or leisurely romantic couples.
