![]() All the rooms at The Inn at Danbury have changing seasonal views of the countryside and either carefully preserved architecture of the original farmhouse (circa 1870) or a recreated "modern rustic" décor. All rooms are spacious and comfortable with the convenience of modern in-room private baths. Rooms situated in the antique farm section have closer proximity to the mica stone fireplace with woodburning stove. The rooms in the "modern rustic" section have easier access to the second floor common area, with glassed wall allowing additional natural lighting and views of the surrounding forests. While the Inn is almost always naturally cooled by the mountain and country air, some rooms have been provided with air conditioners, while others have ceiling fans. Bountiful, home-cooked full award winning breakfast, Indoor pool located in our cool barn is heated in winter season. Our award winning Bistro serves German Old world Cuisine as well as New England comfort food. Chef Graf prepares each dish individually. Celebrate with us with special events. On Memorial day weekend celebrate our. "best of the wurst" festival and Labor Day weekend our famous Oktoberfest. ALl with live music and lots of yummo comfort food. Cozy atmosphere is great for romantic get-away or a family reunion. Area Attractions and Activities: Centrally located in Danbury, New Hampshire. Plenty fun summer activities nearby Ragged Mountain Resort has a 72-par golf course Hike Mount Kearsage, at Winslow State Park, or Mount Cardigan in Canaan. Go apple picking in the fall. Listen to the water as it runs over the Sculptured Rocks in the Groton and Hebron area on the north end of Newfound Lake. While there, visit the Polar Caves in Plymouth, or go rock climbing at the Rock Climbing Barn. Be sure to stop at the many antique stores in the area while you are on your way to see the famous covered bridges in New Hampshire. You might even want to spend a little time picking fresh blueberries at a farm just 5 minutes from our Inn. The Danbury Bog has lots of wildlife viewing. You can bring your canoe or kayak, get up before the crack of dawn, and enjoy a most peaceful sunrise on the water. Maybe you'd prefer to bring your bicycle and ride on the many country roads and hills in our area.
