![]() Breakfast at the Dykeman House is served in our large dining room, next to a cozy, brick fireplace and is a full country breakfast. Freshly brewed coffee and a selection of juices and teas complement the meal. This is graciously served on place settings of china, silver, and crystal in an intimate candlelight setting. Special diets are not a problem as long as you tell us in advance. AAA - 3 Diamonds Area Attractions and Activities: We are only a two hour drive from Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Shippensburg is home to Shippensburg University. Wilson College is located in nearby Chambersburg, while Dickinson College, and Dickinson School of Law are in nearby Carlisle, famous for its annual car shows held at the Carlisle fairgrounds. The Civil War Gettysburg battlefield is only a short drive away, and there are many historic buildings in and around the Shippensburg area. The area has dozens of antique and flea markets, auctions, and the local Amish can be see on the streets nearly everyday. It features a queen size bed, TV, and private bath. It is located in the back of house and has a view of the back yard, Hatch House and balcony. |
