The Dresser Palmer House

Built in 1876, this Italianate Mansion provides a variety of spacious accommodations from king canopy beds with private bath and balcony, to rooms with two beds that can accommodate up to 4 persons.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The front entrance is highlighted by an original cranberry glass transom. The parlor and guest rooms feature original plaster ceiling medallions, crown moldings, fireplaces and waltz-out windows.

After a busy day, relax "Southern Style" in a rocking chair on the front veranda, curled up in front of a fireplace, or in the quiet of a lovely bird-filled garden while you enjoy a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Stroll down beautiful, shaded, moss-draped streets, browse through numerous antique shops, enjoy a variety of local events, and feast on fabulous fresh seafood.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Palmer room is located on the second floor with a private verandah overlooking Gaston Street. The room features a king size bed and a gas fireplace. This is a favorite among our guests looking for a romantic getaway.

Lady Astor Room: Located on the 2nd level with a queen bed, private bathroom, shared balcony access, gas fireplace, private entrance. Can function as suite when booked with the Lord Astor to accommodate up to 4 guests.
