Whether you're hosting a formal get-together or need a quick brunch idea, this book will spark your imagination and your appetite.
Old Consulate Inn
Port Townsend, Washington.
Experience the gracious hospitality of the Victorian past in this beautifully restored Queen Anne masterpiece. This award winning Painted Lady is one of the most photographed and artistically depicted Victorian mansions in the Pacific Northwest.
Bed and Breakfast Description

In the parlor, the grand piano and antique organ are tuned and await your pleasure. The large formal dining room has expansive views of the bay, as does the cozy tower nook. In the library/study, you can read in the comfort of overstuffed furnishings.
Ascend the grand oak staircase and you will find eight private rooms or suites resplendent in antique furnishings. Each room is beautifully detailed in Victorian-style wall-coverings, drapes and fine bed linens. All rooms have private baths complete with antique clawfoot soaking tubs, showers or both. A recent addition is a huge hot tub within a gazebo (enclosed in winter for year-round enjoyment).
The aroma of our own special blend of freshly brewed coffee announces breakfast, which is served in the formal dining room amidst unobstructed views of the harbor.
Orange Juice,
Apple-Pear Sauce with brandied Raisins,
Granola,
Freshly baked Orange Muffins, Consulate Puffs-
(a three cheese egg dish made with fresh vegetables),
Broiled Polish Sausage,
Melon and Grape plate,
Sliced Strawberries with a White Chocolate sauce,
Hot Chocolate and Tea.
Refreshments are offered in the afternoon, and include teas, coffee, cocoa and fresh baked cookies still warm from the oven. Summertime has the inclusion of iced teas and lemonade. In the evening, there are cordials of port or sherry accompanied by desserts. Then retire for the evening in a king sized bed, with nothing on your mind but pleasant dreams of tomorrows pampering.
