Distant Sands Bed & Breakfast offers four beautifully appointed bedrooms in a restored 18th century farmhouse. The house abuts twenty-two acres of conservation land overlooking the Ogunquit River and the ocean in the distance.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Open year round. Come visit all the quaint charm New England has to offer with all the modern conveniences. Enjoy your days and nights on the garden patio which overlooks the sea. Our lodging accommodations offer queen or king beds with newly renovated private baths, air conditioning and color cable TV.

A full gourmet breakfast is served daily from 8 am to 10 am. All dietary needs will be met to the best of my ability. The next day hot breakfast item is listed the night before. Varieties range from homemade blueberry pancakes to a delicious vegetable egg frittata, plus lots more.

"Did you ever have a true lifelong dream? Well I have! For the past twenty some years I have said I wanted to open a small intimate Bed and Breakfast in New England. This past spring I realized my dream with the purchase of the beautiful Distant Sands Bed and Breakfast. I have been fortunate to travel all over the world and stay in various inns. From each I brought back ideas, concepts, and visions of the Inn I would someday acquire. Looking forward to meeting all new people as this chapter in my life unfolds, Innkeeper Bob"

Ogunquit offers three miles of fine sandy white beach along the pristine Southern Maine seacoast. Perkins Cove and Marginal Way are only a trolley stop away. Enjoy a musical or comedy at the Ogunquit Playhouse. This artistic community is home to the Ogunquit Museum of American Art and the Barn Gallery.

The Patsy: Sits on the ocean side of the inn and offers a breathtaking view of both the ocean and Ogunquit River and the wild flower gardens of Beach Plum Farm. King size bed with private bath decorated with its own hand-painted wildflower garden.

The Christopher: With king size bed, exemplifies a sunny spring morning. The private bath has a glass shower, cathedral ceiling, and skylight. This rrom is the coziest for romantic getaways.
