Gourmet breakfast is served in the garden or cozy dining area, wine and appetizers in the afternoon by the fire in the living room or in the gardens. Each inviting bedroom has fresh flowers,
fine linens,thick cotton towels, hairdryers
and TVs with VCRs and wireless Internet.

Our Inn is beautifully situated on 3 acres of spectacular gardens with arbors and rose gardens. A pond with weeping willows invites a leisurely afternoon of relaxation. Bishop Creek, which borders the property, is a natural habitat for fish, birds, ducks and other wildlife.

Much much more than a hotel, this Bed & Breakfast is located in a lush oasis in Bishop, CA off of Hwy 395 in the high desert between the Sierras to the west and the White Mountains to the east. If you are traveling between Death Valley and Yosemite in the summer, Joseph House Inn is the ideal layover. Winter travelers find plenty to do with Mammoth Mountain Ski Area right up the highway.

We are within easy walking distance to downtown Bishop, which offers a variety of dining places, art galleries, 2 movie theaters, antique stores, bookstores and more: the Laws Railroad Museum, Casino, Bowling Alley, Tennis Courts, Public Park, Fairground, Public Pool or drive the short distance to Keough Hot Springs. Play Golf at the Bishop Country Club, Snowcreek Golf Club, Mammoth Lakes, or Sierra Star.

We offer a great variety of hiking trails in the Eastern Sierra. These of course offer a great opportunity for birdwatching, photography or painting. Horseback riding is available, either trails or private tours.
