Strathmore House on the Shenandoah

Mt. Jackson, Virginia.

Occupying the Shenandoah Valley's most spectacular location, overlooking an historic covered bridge & Shenandoah River, this elegant 1892 Victorian offers four romantic bedrooms, private baths, wraparound porches, landscaped gardens and gourmet breakfast

Bed and Breakfast Description

Mt. Jackson, Virginia bed and breakfast: Strathmore House on the Shenandoah

Rocking chairs, spacious public rooms, beautiful landscaped English gardens, and afternoon treats. A matchless gourmet three course breakfast includes fresh juice and fruit with the main entrée of the day. Entrees change daily. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs or restrictions.

All four guestrooms are named for apple orchards that were once part of the farm, and are individually styled with beautiful country fabrics, period pieces and the odd idiosyncrasy! Four posters, half testers, crown canopies and featherbeds are just some of the special touches that reflect the innkeepers’ careful attention to detail and their guests’ comfort.

While the innkeepers have carefully preserved the flavor and ambience of the late Victorian period throughout, each of the private guest bathrooms is entirely modern.
