![]() This house was built by Robert Jordan in 1863. He was a Civil War veteran who made his living as a general merchant in Ipswich after the war. For a number of years after Robert Jordan, the house belonged to a local doctor who used it as a home and office for treating many of the residents of Ipswich. We sit on nearly an acre of terraced perennial gardens with walkways through the property, designed to create a tranquil atmosphere. All bedrooms have a private bath, TV, queen bed and air conditioning. Area Attractions and Activities: Fishing, golfing, hiking trails, swimming pool, tennis courts, horseback riding, Crane Beach, boating, mountain bike trails, water sports, health spa/massage and fitness center/gym. Small pantry with fridge, sink, and microwave. Great view of North Main Street, East Street, side yard, pines, and gardens. The East Room: Located on the second floor toward the front of the house. Has been done in earth tones. It has a queen bed, private bath, television and air conditioning. This room has a loveseat and 2 chairs with reading lamps. |
