![]() Inn of the Year 2003 A great deal of thought and care has gone into the renovations of the Inn. Step into the entrance hall with its impressive oak stairway and wood paneling, and note that the living room and adjoining library with soft yellow walls has welcoming fireplaces in each area. Note the bright colors and elegant furnishings and a game table ready to use. Beyond the library is the Shakespeare room, so called because its small fireplace boasts tiles of various Shakespeare plays. This cozy room is for two, with shiny dark brown walls and built-in bookcases. On the second floor, where all four rooms are, you will find the "Guest Galley," which has an ice machine, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, refreshments and snacks just waiting for guests. In warm months, you may enjoy the garden patio for breakfast or just relaxing. Enjoy the professionally landscaped property with its flowers and herb garden. The managers and owners, Wally and Gloria Knox, are well informed on the history of Erie and Erie happenings. Wally Knox was a Civil Trial Lawyer for 35 years, and Gloria Knox served as Director of Marketing and Development for the Erie Philharmonic. They are bringing unusual talents to the hospitality of the Inn.
