The Gibson House offers guests a pampered escape to an artist’s realm where pleasure rules. Eight sybaritic guestrooms with private baths -- each with its own enchanting personality! Intimate gathering and dining rooms, first and second floor porches to enjoy the views, romantic gardens with gazebo and lily pond for strolling; perfect setting for weddings.


We serve a full gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea. Our multi-course hot breakfast never fails to receive rave reviews. With every breakfast, you can expect fresh fruit, homemade bread and muffins. Signature entries include eggs to order, omelets and strata, as well as our special pancakes, French toast, and waffles. We offer guests a choice of cheese, bacon or sausage. Our coffee and teas are among the finest available. Complimentary cold and hot beverages are always available.

The Gibson House staff is dedicated to meeting every guest’s special needs. We even serve breakfast early if you have an appointment. Well-behaved children of all ages are welcome, rare among similar establishments. Special arrangements are made for pets.

Imaginatively restored by a well-known local artist, every room conveys the opulence of a by-gone era, combining zestful personality with creature comforts. In keeping with this aesthetic vision, paintings by local and nationally recognized artists are prominently displayed. All sale proceeds go to the artists.

Lilac Room: Softly romantic with a queen sized handcarved, four poster bed, and an armoire reminiscent of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Large bath with glorious mural.

A Day At The Beach Room: A taste of coastal New England flavors this soothing room. Cool, pastel colors, handmade sailboat quilts on twin beds (can convert to king size), and a hanging rope chair. Bath continues the theme with whimsical maritime touches.
