Gateway Museum is a new facility with Barn & Orchards, and a learning center located in Gateway Park. The Nature Center is located along the Animas River Trail System and is worth the walk. The nearby 18 hole golf course is one of the top 10 municipal golf courses in the US. Every year Farmington hosts the Connie Mack World Series, with teams coming from all across the US and Puerto Rico. The series is the best of the 18 and younger ball players. Each August all seven regional champions merge on Farmington, NM, to compete for the elite title of "Connie Mack World Series Champion." Sandstone Productions' outdoor theater provides an entertaining evening under the stars from Spring through Summer. The Farmington Aquatics Center has indoor water recreation for the family.
