The Fairlawn Inn
Hunter, New York.
Beautifully restored country home in the Catskills. In the shadow of Hunter Mountain, a four season resort area. Three story corner turret, wraparound porches, sumptuous breakfast. Concierge services - many things to do within walking distance.
Bed and Breakfast Description

The Fairlawn Inn, in the shadow of Hunter Mountain, the second highest mountain in the Great Northern Catskills, is where you want to visit for casual luxury. This completely restored Victorian home features some recent upgrades which include a professional quality pool table in the game room, new comfortable furniture for the porches, and upgraded showers for all of the clawfoot tubs and a new patio with waterfall.
Nine bedrooms all with private en-suite baths, four common area rooms, a dining room, game room with pool table, tv room and parlor with fireplace, gardens and many porches where you can relax. If sitting on the porch is not your style, then hike, bike, ski, snowshoe, antique, fine dine or take advantage of the many cultural opportunities that present themselves for your enjoyment.
The Inn, nestled in the Catskills area popularized by the Hudson River School of Painters, has some of the most magnificent scenery on the East Coast. The Hunter area was the first tourism destination in the US for NYC residents seeking a cool summer escape from the city. This part of the Catskills was host to many presidents, Mark Twain and other famous and infamous individuals drawn by the spectacular scenery.
Enjoy your full cooked to order breakfast in the sunny breakfast room or just relax on one of the porches with a great book and nice bottle of wine.
