A country inn, six miles from L.L. Bean & other Freeport shopping. Convenient to major highways, Bates & Bowdoin colleges. The Inn offers a relaxing environment & sumptuous breakfast & has hosted many historical "firsts" in the town.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The house consists of the main structure and an attached ell built in 1772 and renovated in 1982. The first floor of the main house contains a living room with working fireplace to greet arriving guests, an adjoining library with an extensive array of books, magazines and games, and massage/spa room. The second floor has four bedrooms with attached/adjacent private baths and electric wood-burning stoves.

In the ell is the magnificent country kitchen, with its huge brick fireplace/beehive oven, wide pine floors, and hand-hewn beams.

The new Bliss Carriage House, built in 1998, contains three suites with queen beds, gas-log fireplaces, air conditioning, cable TV and large private baths in each room. The Carriage House also has a conference room for 25-40 people. Ideal for family reunions, corporate meetings or retreats.

All rooms have access to wireless Internet and A/C.
