Encompassed by a casual southern elegance, the Davis-Bourne Inn features secluded relaxation areas and four uniquely decorated bedrooms, each with a private bath. A garden patio dining area and wrap around porch present an enchanting opportunity to soak in the splendid view of mountaintops, beautifully kept grounds, and the historic district of the town of Independence, VA. Refresh your spirit as you rock gently on our porch swing, enjoying the cool mountain breeze.

You will find our beautiful lawn and grounds perfect for accommodating group functions such as weddings, reunions, or corporate theme parties. Celebrate your most special occasions with us amid gracious southern hospitality and Victorian elegance.

As you ascend our marvelous walnut staircase, you enter the upstairs foyer, which provides a tastefully decorated and inviting sitting area. From here four individually and beautifully styled bedrooms await you. Wake to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, served just outside your door in the sitting area each morning. Then enjoy a full gourmet breakfast, complimentary for all of our guests, at the time of your choosing. On Sunday mornings Inn guests can opt to participate in Sunday Brunch for $9.95 per person. During warmer seasons you can choose to breakfast on our wrap around porch, dining to the sound of songbirds and sights of hummingbirds, squirrels and deer.

Just a short drive from the Inn is the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as several parks including Jefferson National Forest, Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and New River Trail State Park.

With miles of trails within the area there is ample opportunity for hiking. You will find trails for everyone, whether you would like a more leisurely stroll, or want to get a serious workout with your hike. Many of the trails lead to scenic overlooks that are more than worth the hike to them. You will find trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the local parks and forest, as well as the Virginia Creeper Trail and the Appalachian Trail, which is the longest foot trail in North America.
