Bed and Breakfast Description

Brandon, Vermont bed and breakfast: Birdcage Inn

The Birdcage was originally built in the year 1840, and was later remodeled around 1895. The design is a highly distinctive and set up in traditional Victorian elegance. It is greatly recognized for its distinct luxury of elaborate details and vastly acknowledged for its astounding stained glass.

The Birdcage is one of the most unusual examples of High Victorian architecture in Vermont. In 1982, the house was moved from the center of Brandon to its present site, a uniquely rustic yet convenient location. The site has just over forty private acres of rolling meadows and entrancing woods. The Birdcage is convenient to all the things that make Vermont one of the great vacation spots of the world. Relax in the sauna and nearby lakes and mountains.

Princess Jirina Obolensky will treat you like family. She is a native of Czechoslovakia and is a member of a family that originated with the Russian Imperial dynasty in the 9th century A.D. She welcomes both families and pets to her beautiful inn.
