Walks beside the ocean on the Battery Wall, White Point Gardens (The Battery Park) is just across the street. A stroll up lovely brick paved Church Street to stately Broad Street and on to the famous Market Street area offers a variety of unique shops, unforgettable restaurants, the City Market and lively night spots. Wander through art galleries, antique shops, and plantations - historic house and garden tours are given daily.
Carriage tours, ghost tours, dinner cruises, and boat tours of the Charleston Harbor are available all year round. Some special events are The Spoleto Festival, Wildlife Expo, House and Garden Tours, Candlelight Tours, Art Walks, Ghost Tours and many more wonderful tours. Beaches within easy driving distance have swimming, boating, sailing, kite boating, and surfing. Tour Fort Sumter and the battle ships in the harbor.
