Built in 1857 for Newton Mitchell, and expanded by rancher Louis Ogé, this exquisite antebellum neoclassical property sits on 1.5 acres overlooking the famed Riverwalk, surrounded by lush plantings, rose gardens and lawns.

The Ogé House is an architectural work significant enough to be listed both on the National Register of Historic Places and as a Texas Historical Landmark. In confirmation of its historical importance, the Ogé House was one of a handful of structures in San Antonio chosen by the U.S. Department of the Interior to be recorded in the Historic American Buildings Survey for its archives in the Library of Congress.

Step into another era and allow yourself to be transported to a slower-paced time. Now restored to its original classic elegance, the home is open for the first time in its history, welcoming guests as a Bed & Breakfast Inn.

The Ogé House Inn offers 10 guest experiences on three floors, each elegantly appointed with American and European antiques. Business and convention travelers will appreciate the high-speed internet, in-room desk, mini refrigerator, and flexible breakfast options.

Breakfast is served in the formal dining room at private tables in view of the fireplace or on the majestic front veranda. Elegantly decorated with period antiques, each of the three guest suites and seven guestrooms has its own new private bath with scented soaps and thick, fluffy towels. Most rooms have fireplaces and all are furnished with either a king or queen sized bed.

Riverview: Very private king bedroom with fireplace and private balcony overlooking the famous Riverwalk. A sumptuous new granite bathroom features an exceptional oversized jacuzzi tub and separate frameless glass shower & an antique French cabinet sink.
