Bed and Breakfast Description

The hillside bungalow is built on the top of a ridge overlooking a valley filled with prairie-wool and grazing cattle that stretches from the foothills to the panoramic view of the mountains. The four acres is a quiet retreat from the bustling city life.

Full breakfast served on white linen, including freshly baked breads and homemade jams. A relaxing sitting area with fireplace, wet bar, pool table and library.

There are three bedrooms with queen size beds, tastefully decorated and with all the luxuries including hand lotions and specialty soaps. Each of the rooms has a ceiling fan, smoke detectors, locks and telephones. All the windows open for your comfort to enjoy the mountain breeze. Soft terry housecoats in each closet for you to snuggle in and relax.

We offer accommodations in comfort and style. The home features a walk-out basement with a recreation room and patio doors open onto the lower deck. This room has a large sitting area for our guests to enjoy and includes a wood fireplace, TV/VCR, wet bar, microwave and billiard table plus a variety of games.

The quiet, country atmosphere combines with the wildlife visitors that can even include moose, and a greatview of the Rockies for a special golf experience. Skiing at Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Kananaskis. Many hiking trails. Calgary stampede & local rodeos.

Visitors can experience the cowboy life or wild West by booking a trail ride at the many ranches in the area or visiting one of the many working cattle ranches. If you are a thrill-seeking visitor, you can soar high over Cochrane on a hang-glider or paraglider or take to the wild glacier-fed river for white water rafting! The Bow River is known world-wide for Rainbow & Brown trout.

The Western Tumbleweed room is the most requested room with the ensuite bathroom. The cowboy theme is reflected in the decor with horse shoes,wibble trees, & harness towel holders,large log queen bed, log tables, hand-carved chairs, & a milk stool.

The Rose Victorian room has a ensuite bathroom & queen bed. It is decorated with rose wreaths and antique headboard from the old Banff Springs Hotel. You can relax in a wicker rocker or write home at the desk. This room is on the main level-no stairs.
