Admiral Peary House
Fryeburg, Maine.
Quiet historic Inn 15 minutes from all North Conway activities, restaurants & shopping. Offers fireplaces, Jacuzzis, specials and packages, excellent breakfasts & more.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Located in the oldest village in the White Mountains, our historic inn was once the home of Admiral Robert E. Peary, arctic explorer and discoverer of the North Pole. Although close to the bustle of North Conway and all the activities of the Mt. Washington Valley, the house sits away from it all on six and a half tranquil acres of beautiful lawns, woods and gardens.
Our 7 tastefully decorated and quiet guestrooms feature king or queen beds and private baths, with gas-fired stoves and Jacuzzis in some. For families or couples traveling together, two of our rooms interconnect providing excellent accommodation for all.
Celebrating a special occasion? Tell us! We can supply those little extra touches such as champagne and/or flowers in your room and arrange an intimate dinner or picnic basket to make your occasion truly memorable.
Our spacious living room combines warmth and comfort with a massive fireplace, ample seating and pool table. The intimate parlor is a quiet place to read or reflect, and the sunny three-season enclosed porch, the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon's nap.
For breakfast, savor the flavors of beautifully prepared and presented food, featuring innovative and traditional cuisine from around the world.
The White Mountains and Maine lakes offer year-round activities such as hiking, biking, antiquing, shopping, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, mountains and rivers, our home is the perfect getaway spot year-round.
