Bed and Breakfast Description

The century-old Washington Irving Inn is located on the outskirts of the historic Village of Hunter, Greene County, New York. Build circa 1890, this charming Victorian Inn is located on scenic Route 23A (also known as "The Rip Van Winkle Trail"), approximately two miles from Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl in the Catskill State Park.

The Inn's environment transports you back to a gentler, less hurried time when people-watching was a popular pastime and front porches were "the" place to be. Situated on eight acres, our inn features an outdoor pool, cocktail lounge and spacious dining room where breakfast is served "hot off the griddle," and superb dinners [for large groups only] may be arranged by reservation. Please call us to inquire about our catered dinners for all your special occasions.

Come, visit us in the land the Iroquois called "On ti or a," or "The Land in the Sky." Relax quietly on our spacious front porch and watch the sun rise and set.
