We are less than one hour to Virginia Tech , Radford University, the Martinsville Speedway, and the history and schools of Lexington. Smith Mountain Lake is nearby, as are the D-Day Memorial and Peaks of Otter. Salem ,VA is also home to The Roanoke Valley Horse Show which ranks as one of the top ten horse shows nationally. Salem,Va hosts the Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the Division III college football championship playoffs, as well as the Division III National Championships in basketball, softball, and lacrosse. The Salem Fair is another annual event that is hosted each year. Our bed and breakfast is within walking distance of many of these events.
