The Gaithersburg Inn

Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The Gaithersburg Inn is a historic 1892 Victorian home located in the Walker-Brookes Historic District adjacent to Olde Towne Gaithersburg. The house has been restored with great care to preserve the character and charm of the time period.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Gaithersburg, Maryland bed and breakfast: The Gaithersburg Inn

The Inn is available for special events. The landscaped grounds provide a lovely setting for weddings in the warmer months. The rooms on the first floor are perfect for intimate gatherings such as bridal showers, birthday parties, and other small functions. Afternoon tea parties are a specialty of the house. Let us know if we can help arrange one of these events during your stay.

The Inn was built in 1892 by the Thompson Family and named "Little Zoar". Although the home is now a private residence it was once a home for children and may have been a part of Asbury Methodist Village retirement community, which began as a home for the aged and orphaned children. The house has been owned by a number of individuals and a local church before being purchased by the current owners who have lovingly brought it back to life as a bed and breakfast. Its Victorian furnishings are in keeping with the architecture of the house and provide a reminder of that time period.

The extensive grounds were professionally landscaped with guest use in mind. Tables, benches and chairs are located at different strategic locations so guests can enjoy the pastoral tranquility undisturbed.

A specially designed 20 by 14 foot gazebo with upgraded electric and lighting was added with special events in mind. In addition to being a place where a overnight guests can relax, read, snack or snooze, it is ideal for outdoor events such as weddings, teas, and even business meetings.
