Amenities at The Welch House bed and breakfast are among the finest in Boothbay Harbor. Our comfortable guestrooms all have private baths and offer king, queen, or double beds. Many have fireplaces. Delicious breakfasts made from fresh, local ingredients are served in our sunny breakfast room overlooking the harbor.

The living room’s stone fireplace provides the perfect backdrop for meeting new friends and gathering with loved ones. And the 180-degree view of the harbor from our third floor deck is an ideal location to greet the morning, toast the sunset, or gaze up at a magnificent ceiling of stars.

Downtown Boothbay Harbor is a short walk from the Welch House Inn, where dozens of art galleries, antique shops and fine craft shops await. More than 30 restaurants, offering everything from pick 'em & eat 'em at the Lobstermans Co-op to fine dining at Christopher's Boathouse are available.

Want time on the open ocean? Spend several hours on a vintage sailboat or take a power cruise to Monhegan Island. You can even rent a sea kayak if you prefer. Outside of BBH, visit Pemaquid Head Light built in 1827, and the Fisherman's Museum. Stop at Pemaquid Beach, with its beautiful white sand. In the mood for a day trip? In less than an hour, you can visit the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, with its American art exhibits and its collection of Wyeth family art.

Other unique places to visit include the Owls Head Transportation Museum, the Peary-MacMilland Arctic Museum at Bowdoin College and the world's only cribstone bridge at Orr's and Bailey's Islands.

Admiralty: Has a king sized sleigh bed, a private bath with tub ensuite, gas fireplace, air conditioning, TV, VCR, phone, and harbor view. The nautical-style decor includes antique oak dressers, a cedar armoire, and a wicker sitting area.

Captain's Lady: Located on the second floor with an outstanding view of the harbor from its two windows. Captain's Lady has a king sized handpainted bed, a private ensuite bathroom, gas fireplace, air conditioning, TV, VCR, and phone.
