Bed and Breakfast Description

Okaw Valley Orchard Inn is a country bed and breakfast situated on a working orchard. The barn style home was built in the 1970's just before the first trees were planted. It was the family home until 2006, when renovations began to convert the home into a bed and breakfast.

The Loft is a large lake themed suite with a 2nd story deck overlooking the backyard and orchard. It includes a queen size
bed, a woodstove and a comfortable sitting area with a
TV/DVD player. The bathroom boasts a clawfoot tub and walls lined with rough sawn pine, cut from our property.

The Granny Smith Room is a comfortable room reminiscent of
grandma's guest room on the farm. It includes a queen size bed,
a sitting area with a TV/DVD player, a romantic window seat
overlooking the orchard, and a private bath with a tub/shower.

The Macintosh Room is an eclectic mix of farmhouse and
mission style decor. It boasts a 2nd story deck overlooking the
front orchard, a queen size bed, a sitting area with a fireplace
and a TV/DVD player, two window seats overlooking the orchard, and a private bath with a shower.

Area Attractions and Activities:

It is our family's desire to share our simple orchard life with others. It is a beautiful and peaceful home to get away from the business of life. Guests staying at the 22 acre orchard may stroll in the woods on the riverbank, fish in the stocked pond, relax and observe the myriad of birds (including hummingbirds) from the comfort of the enclosed back porch, observe and possibly participate in our working orchard (July-October),then finish the day with a soak in the hot tub.

In addition to the many ways to relax at the orchard, many attractions and shopping experiences are close by. The orchard sits on a country road between Highway 121 and 32 between the communities of Sullivan, Bethany, and Lovington.

The Okaw Valley Orchard Inn is near Lake Shelbyville, the Little Theater on the Square and Amish Country. Enjoy scenic Moultrie County where outdoor activities, theater, shopping, antiques, agri-tourism and great dining are all just minutes away.
